Overview

The Inbound Forklift role at Freshpoint in Nashville involves handling inbound produce by receiving, stocking, and ensuring proper rotation of products. The position requires safe operation of powered industrial equipment and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and put away all inbound produce
  • Ensure product is put away in proper rotation (FIFO)
  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely
  • Stock selection slots with products
  • Keep pallets free from tape, wrap or wires and remove empties as needed
  • Clean and sanitize the work area
  • Account for the received product
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required skills

  • Six months experience in a warehouse
  • Proficiently using stand-up forklift and riding pallet jack
  • Basic knowledge of fresh produce
  • Experience with RF scanners and related functions
  • Strong reading and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Physical endurance and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
