Job Description

Overview

The Imaging Systems Administrator at CHRISTUS Health will ensure effective operations for various departments that produce medical images. This role involves maintaining imaging applications across different service lines while providing support to end users and coordinating imaging-related initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and support radiology and cardiology PACS and advanced imaging applications
  • Serve as onsite IT resource for implementation and support of medical imaging applications
  • Provide second-level support as a medical imaging subject matter expert
  • Coordinate DICOM SR mappings to ancillary systems
  • Collaborate in the development of medical imaging education & documentation
  • Deliver hands-on training for medical imaging applications
  • Monitor the overall health of imaging systems
  • Assist in the development of operating standards, policies, and procedures
  • Document support cases in IT Service Management for tracking

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in Healthcare or IT or 4 years of PACS administration experience
  • 2 years of related healthcare experience
  • Basic computer experience
  • Familiarity with PACS administration, DICOM, and medical imaging applications
  • Registered by CIIP, PARCA, ARRT, RDMS, or CNMT preferred
