Job Description

Overview

The Imaging Application Specialist at Marshfield Clinic plays a crucial role in supporting Radiology departments by enhancing the use of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and ensuring optimal application performance. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to clinical staff while managing day-to-day operations within the imaging department.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for imaging applications and resolve issues in person, via telephone, or electronically.
  • Act as a liaison between departments, providers, and IT staff.
  • Coordinate communication between imaging services and interfacing areas.
  • Oversee validation of imaging examinations and ensure timely task completion.
  • Monitor and assure quality of internal and external image management processes.
  • Facilitate individual and classroom training for end-users.
  • Investigate and resolve application and workflow issues.
  • Participate in committees to promote standardization and optimization of imaging workflows.

Required skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with radiologist workstations and clinical imaging environments.
