Overview

Join Badger Daylighting as a Hydrovac Operator in Lethbridge, Alberta, where you'll operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and contribute to various construction projects. This role offers opportunities for career advancement while ensuring a commitment to safety and detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Operating hydrovac equipment in various working environments, including confined spaces
  • Driving hydrovac trucks for a portion of work time
  • Attending safety meetings
  • Performing routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment
  • Setting up safety measures and addressing hazards in work areas
  • Documenting and reporting paperwork accurately and efficiently

Required skills

  • Valid 1, 3 or DZ driver's license with airbrake endorsement
  • First aid, Ground Disturbance and CSTS certifications preferred
  • Experience driving manual transmission trucks (10-18 speed)
  • Ability to work variable shifts and travel up to 25%
  • Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds
  • Prior hydrovac equipment operations or related industrial experience preferred
  • Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers
  • Technology adeptness
