Overview

Montgomery & Associates is looking for a mid- or senior-level hydrogeologist to join their California team, focusing on groundwater resource management and environmental projects, particularly in Northern California. The role involves technical support, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders, as well as opportunities for professional growth within a respected company.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and provide technical support to projects focused on hydrogeology and groundwater resource management
  • Support the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA)
  • Coordinate groundwater remediation activities and monitor environmental sites
  • Interpret data including lithologic and hydrologic testing results
  • Design and interpret predictive modeling runs
  • Develop hydrogeologic conceptual models and water budgets
  • Design and manage field investigations and monitoring programs
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and work plans
  • Oversee work completed by junior staff
  • Assist project managers with administrative duties

Required skills

  • Graduate degree in hydrology, geology, civil engineering, or environmental engineering, or professional registration (P.
  • 6 to 12 years of experience in environmental and water resource consulting
  • Understanding of groundwater principles and hydrogeologic systems
  • Project management experience
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with standard analytical tools
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills
  • Team-oriented with experience in delegating and reviewing work
  • Interest in engaging with professional organizations
