Job Description

Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working four days in retail locations across Tennessee and one day remotely. This position focuses on the compounding, dispensation, and verification of medications, while providing consulting services to patients regarding medication usage and awareness of drug interactions. The pharmacist will also engage in preventative care services such as immunizations and diagnostic testing, while supporting pharmacy operations and enhancing the patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services and clinical program involvement
  • Resolve customer queries and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Conduct centralized support for patient registration and issue resolution
  • Provide expertise and support to the pharmacy team
  • Support staff training and development opportunities
  • Analyze performance data and collaborate on workflow procedures
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy
  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement in clinical pharmacy services

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws
  • Experience with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
  • Time management skills for prioritizing and organizing tasks
  • Knowledge of pharmacy systems technology for workflows, billing, and inventory management
