Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves a blend of retail pharmacy duties and centralized support, with one day of remote work each week. The pharmacist will ensure compliance in compounding, dispensation, and review of prescribed medications, while also offering clinical services and patient consultations to enhance customer experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services such as consultations, immunizations, and disease state management.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues to ensure positive experiences.
  • Conduct patient registration and assist with resolving patient issues in centralized support.
  • Support staff training and development opportunities.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement procedures for pharmacy asset protection and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with medical providers and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy services.

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist degree from accredited institution.
  • Current pharmacist license appropriate for the state.
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days.
  • Experience with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus.
  • Time management skills for prioritizing and organizing tasks.
