Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist at Walgreens will work four days in retail and one day remotely, supporting various locations in Tennessee. This role involves the compounding and dispensing of medications, patient consulting, and providing preventive healthcare services, while also ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services and consultations
  • Resolve customer queries to ensure a positive experience
  • Conduct centralized support, including patient registration and issue resolution
  • Provide training and support to pharmacy staff
  • Analyze performance and implement procedures for asset protection and inventory management
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and participate in community outreach
  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement in pharmacy services
  • Stay current with pharmacy trends and best practices

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and knowledge of controlled substance laws
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience in pharmacy operations and technology systems
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
