Job Description

Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens requires working four days in retail locations across Tennessee and one day remotely. The pharmacist will ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, and verification of medications while providing patient consulting services and supporting the pharmacy's operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services and consultations
  • Resolve customer queries in a timely manner
  • Support centralized services including patient registration and issue resolution
  • Promote teamwork and motivate staff while fostering a shared vision
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement procedures for asset protection and inventory management
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and healthcare professionals
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and company standards
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy services
  • Drive continuous improvement in clinical pharmacy care delivery

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and knowledge of controlled substance laws
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one
  • Ability to work in multiple environments (Centralized Services, Retail Pharmacy, etc.)
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Experience with pharmacy technology and software including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
