Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working at various retail locations in North Carolina, with one day per week remote support. The pharmacist will be responsible for medication dispensation, patient consultation, and ensuring adherence to regulations and policies, while promoting patient care and team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services and consultations
  • Resolve customer queries to ensure positive customer experiences
  • Conduct in-person or virtual product and prescription reviews
  • Support staff training and development opportunities
  • Analyze performance data and implement procedures for asset protection
  • Cultivate relationships with medical providers and participate in community outreach activities
  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement in clinical pharmacy services

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience with prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations
  • Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become certified
  • Familiarity with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
