Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working across various retail locations in North Carolina, with one day a week dedicated to remote support. The pharmacist will be responsible for compounding, verifying, and dispensing medications while providing consulting services to patients regarding medication usage and drug interactions, all while maintaining adherence to regulatory guidelines and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare and clinical services
  • Resolve customer queries and issues in a timely manner
  • Conduct patient registration and assist with resolving patient issues
  • Promote teamwork and motivate staff
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement procedures for asset protection and inventory management
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and healthcare professionals
  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement in pharmacy services
  • Participate in community outreach activities

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience with prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to obtain certification
  • Ability to work in different pharmacy environments
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Experience with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
