Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens combines retail pharmacy duties with the flexibility of remote work. Located in various retail locations across North Carolina, this position involves compounding, dispensing, and consulting on medications while ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines. The pharmacist will also provide clinical services, enhance patient experience, and support pharmacy management in optimizing operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Enhance patient experience through consultations and healthcare services.
  • Resolve customer queries and concerns promptly.
  • Conduct centralized support such as patient registration and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate staff training and development opportunities.
  • Analyze performance data and implement procedures for asset protection and inventory management.
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and health professionals.
  • Participate in community outreach and events to promote pharmacy services.

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state pharmacist license.
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become one.
  • Experience with pharmacy technology systems and software.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience in specialty services (e.g., HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology) preferred.
