Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working four days in retail locations across Missouri and one day remotely. Responsibilities include managing medication compounding and dispensation, providing patient consultations, and conducting various clinical healthcare services. The pharmacist will also ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while optimizing pharmacy operations and enhancing patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services including patient consultations and immunizations.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Conduct centralized support including patient registration and exception resolution.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations including opening, closing, and shift changes.
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy services.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze performance data and implement workflow procedures.

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current Pharmacist license in the appropriate state.
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and knowledge of controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with pharmacy technology such as Intercom, Promise, and Plus.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in operations and compliance.
