Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working primarily in retail locations throughout Missouri with one day per week supporting remote services. The pharmacist will oversee the compounding, dispensation, and verification of medications while providing patient consultation on medication usage and drug interactions. This role also includes offering clinical healthcare services and optimizing pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
  • Enhance patient experience through consultations and healthcare services
  • Resolve customer queries to ensure a positive experience
  • Conduct patient registration and support centralized services
  • Train and develop pharmacy staff
  • Analyze performance data and implement workflow improvements
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and participate in community outreach activities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies
  • Process insurance claims and liaise with insurance companies

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and compliance laws
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to obtain certification
  • Ability to work in diverse environments (Retail, Centralized Services, etc.)
  • Knowledge of pharmacy technology and software systems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in pharmacy operations and insurance management
