Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working at various retail locations in Missouri while also providing support from home one day a week. The pharmacist is responsible for the compounding, dispensation, and verification of prescribed medications and provides consultation services to patients regarding medication usage and interactions, while also offering preventive healthcare services like immunizations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding and medication management
  • Review, interpret, and dispense prescribed medications
  • Enhance patient experience through consultations and healthcare services
  • Resolve customer queries and ensure a positive experience
  • Conduct centralized support for patient registration and issue resolution
  • Oversee pharmacy operations including opening, closing, and shift changes
  • Maintain relationships with healthcare providers and the local community

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become one
  • Familiarity with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws
