Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens combines retail pharmacy responsibilities with remote support services. This position is integral in ensuring safe medication compounding and dispensing while offering patient consultations and healthcare services in a hybrid environment across various locations in Missouri.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications
  • Provide pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding medication usage and drug interactions
  • Offer preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations and patient outcome services
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services like medication management and disease state management
  • Resolve customer queries and issues to maintain a positive customer experience
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and other health professionals
  • Support pharmacy management in optimizing financials and inventory management
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and company policies
  • Conduct centralized support tasks such as patient registration and exception resolution
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote pharmacy services

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree
  • Current Pharmacist license
  • Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of controlled substance laws
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology systems
  • Experience with time management and prioritizing tasks
  • Knowledge of pharmacy systems technology
