Overview

The Hybrid Pharmacist role at Walgreens involves working four days in retail locations across Missouri and one day remotely. The pharmacist will ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of medications while providing empathetic pharmacy consulting services to patients, focusing on medication management and healthcare outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
  • Enhance patient experience through healthcare services such as consultations and immunizations.
  • Resolve customer queries to ensure a positive experience.
  • Conduct centralized support for patient registration and issue resolution.
  • Provide team support, training, and development opportunities.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement inventory management procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with medical providers and participate in community outreach.
  • Drive compliance in delivering clinical pharmacy services.
  • Stay updated with pharmacy trends and maintain necessary licensing.

Required skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state-issued Pharmacist license.
  • Experience with prescription dispensing and federal substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including operations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy technology such as Intercom, Promise, and Plus.
