Overview

Skol Construction Concepts is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join their team in Tampa, FL, working primarily with restaurant HVAC systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various HVAC equipment, requiring strong technical skills and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant-level HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Service and repair 5-10-ton HVAC units, makeline tables, and walk-in coolers.
  • Monitor equipment to detect electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Use hand and power tools, refrigerant gauges, and multimeters for repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment warranties and repairs.
  • Perform mild plumbing and electrical work as needed.
  • Manage work orders using Corrigo, Service Channel, and Service Titan.
  • Complete work orders promptly, prioritizing critical tasks.

Required skills

  • EPA Type 2 or Universal certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with HVAC/R systems
  • Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more frequently
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
