Overview

Skol Construction Concepts is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for their Tampa, FL location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and EPA Type 2 or Universal certification, focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC systems and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant-level HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Service and repair 5-10-ton HVAC units, makeline tables, and walk-in coolers.
  • Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Use hand and power tools, refrigerant gauges, and multi-meters for repairs.
  • Maintain equipment warranty and repair records.
  • Perform mild plumbing and electrical work as needed.
  • Manage work orders using Corrigo, Service Channel, and Service Titan.
  • Complete work orders promptly, prioritizing critical tasks.

Required skills

  • EPA Type 2 or Universal certification
  • Minimum 3 years experience with HVAC/R
  • Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets
  • Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • Must have a clean driving record
