Overview

Skol Construction Concepts is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for their Freeport, Florida location. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience and be equipped with EPA Type 2 or Universal certification. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC systems, while adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant-level equipment including commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Service and repair 5-10-ton HVAC units, makeline tables, and walk-in coolers.
  • Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions for electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Use appropriate hand and power tools, refrigerant gauges, and multi-meters for repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment warranty and repairs.
  • Perform mild plumbing and electrical tasks as needed.
  • Manage work orders and equipment tagging using software like Corrigo and Service Titan.
  • Complete work orders promptly, prioritizing critical tasks.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management.

Required skills

  • EPA Type 2 or Universal certification
  • At least 3 years of experience with HVAC/R
  • Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more frequently
  • Experience working in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
