Overview

Skol Construction Concepts is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join their team in Freeport, Florida. The role involves evaluating, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing HVAC systems primarily in a restaurant setting, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Service and repair 5-10 ton HVAC units, makeline tables, and walk-in coolers
  • Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions for electrical and mechanical faults
  • Use appropriate hand and power tools, refrigerant gauges, and multimeters
  • Keep equipment warranty and repair records up to date
  • Perform mild plumbing and electrical work
  • Manage work orders and equipment tagging using software such as Corrigo, Service Channel, and Service Titan

Required skills

  • EPA Type 2 or Universal certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with HVAC/R
  • Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under stress and in confined spaces
  • Clean driving record and smart device for communication
