Overview

ABM Industries is seeking a full-time HVAC Technician for a 1st shift position in Fairborn, Ohio. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust electrical systems including pilots, thermostats, and burners
  • Utilize common HVAC tools such as multimeters and refrigerant gauges
  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems
  • Identify maintenance risks and diagnose faults in HVAC systems
  • Perform emergency repairs efficiently
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to team members
  • Keep daily logs and records of maintenance functions
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and safety regulations
  • Assist with customer inquiries
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • HVAC experience preferred (3 years)
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid, unexpired driver's license
  • Technical direction and customer service skills
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance skills
  • Electrical systems knowledge
