Overview

Skol Construction Concepts is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join their team in Panama City, Florida. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience, with required EPA Type 2 or Universal certification, and will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC systems as well as performing preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant-level equipment
  • Service and repair 5-10-ton HVAC units, makeline tables, and walk-in coolers
  • Handle thermostats and remote equipment controllers
  • Monitor equipment to detect electrical and mechanical malfunctions
  • Use appropriate hand and power tools, refrigerant gauges, and testing equipment
  • Maintain accurate warranty and repair records
  • Perform mild plumbing and electrical work
  • Manage work orders and equipment tagging through specific software

Required skills

  • EPA Type 2 or Universal certification
  • 3 years of experience with HVAC/R systems
  • Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screenings
