Job Description

Overview

The HVAC Technician at OhioHealth is responsible for advanced HVAC maintenance and ensuring effective facility operations within a healthcare environment. This role entails tasks such as preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and facility inspections while supporting other associates and projects based on organizational needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform technical and specialized activities for HVAC systems and facility features
  • Inspect operating equipment daily and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in equipment rooms
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on pneumatic and electrical control instrumentation
  • Inspect cooling towers and monitor water temperature differentials
  • Test and analyze water composition for chemical treatment
  • Perform constant care and adjustment of chillers and control units
  • Diagnose HVAC issues and complete refrigeration repairs
  • Adjust thermostats and air supply units for occupant comfort
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Medical Air/Vacuum systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on ice machines and exhaust systems
  • Maintain inventory of materials and equipment
  • Complete work documentation and request purchase orders
  • Operate hospital vehicles for off-site tasks
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain personal safety equipment
