Job Description

Overview

The HVAC Sales Estimator role at Nance International involves interfacing with Design, Manufacturing, and Sales for HVAC proposals across various industries including commercial, industrial, and petrochemical. The position requires daily interactions with customers, suppliers, and vendors, focusing on cost estimation and project management for HVAC services.

Key responsibilities

  • Estimate sales costs based on specifications and current economic conditions
  • Read specifications and perform system design and equipment selection
  • Run heating and cooling load calculations for bids and projects
  • Maintain a daily log of contract inquiries, estimates, and quotes
  • Develop and write proposals and maintain project quote files
  • Follow up with customers on RFQs via email
  • Attend meetings with the sales department on new projects
  • Work with Design & MFG department to maintain fabrication schedules
  • Conduct field surveys for problem-solving and cost estimating
  • Manage projects within budget estimates and assist with special projects as needed
