Overview

Loyola University Maryland is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to perform installation, servicing, and repair of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) equipment. This role involves working with various HVAC systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and operating control systems, all while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in installation, operation, service, and repair of HVAC equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems
  • Service and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation units
  • Install and reinstalls wiring and controls for electrical power sources
  • Perform mechanical joining of piping using welding and soldering techniques
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment relevant to the trade
  • Assist with snow and ice removal as required
  • Participate in required training for the role
