Overview

Rocket Cooling is seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join their team in Key West, Florida. This role focuses on installing ductwork systems primarily for commercial and new construction projects, as well as some residential work. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality work and be part of a fast-moving, supportive team that values efficient and proper installation.

Key responsibilities

  • Installing ductwork systems for commercial and new construction projects
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and mechanical layouts
  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing duct systems
  • Hanging and securing ductwork according to code and project specifications
  • Sealing duct systems to ensure efficiency and performance
  • Installing boots, grilles, registers, and diffusers
  • Collaborating with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on job sites
  • Ensuring all work complies with local codes and company quality standards
  • Troubleshooting layout or installation challenges in the field
  • Assisting with equipment setting and basic HVAC installation tasks when needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organized job site
  • Loading and unloading materials and ensuring trucks are stocked for upcoming jobs

Required skills

  • Experience with duct installation (commercial and/or residential)
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand job layouts
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, high-quality work
  • Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments
