Job Description

Overview

The Human Resources Technology Specialist at the College of the Desert will be responsible for the administration and enhancement of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) database and related systems. The role involves extensive technical duties, including data entry, creating reports, and resolving system issues, while fostering collaboration within the HR department and across other divisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and perform complex technical duties to maintain HRIS and other HR databases
  • Enter and update employee data and manage HRIS related matters
  • Compile data to produce technical reports compliant with regulations
  • Consult with users to diagnose and solve software and data-related issues
  • Develop test strategies and maintain HR technology procedures
  • Maintain performance evaluation systems and assist with online training modules
  • Operate office equipment and provide backup for greeting students and public

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience in Human Resources Technology
  • Experience with data entry, mining, and analysis
  • Knowledge of HR procedures and applicable regulations
  • Proficiency in database management and office software including Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
