Overview

The Human Resources Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation is a strategic partner responsible for aligning HR department goals with the overall objectives of the Retail Support Center. This role involves providing HR guidance, supporting employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws while fostering a positive workplace culture across 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Consult with Retail Support management on HR guidance for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Advise management on resolving employee relations issues.
  • Conduct thorough employee relations investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead new hire orientation and check-ins for 2nd and 3rd shift employees.
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt roles as needed.
  • Manage leaves of absence and workers' compensation claims for 2nd and 3rd shift employees.
  • Ensure compliance with current employment laws and benefits administration.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Experience in compensation practices and organizational development
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Strong consulting and conflict management skills
  • Proficient in investigative and interviewing techniques
