Overview

The Human Resources Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation will serve as a strategic partner in driving HR goals aligned with the overall objectives of the Retail Support Center. This role includes consulting management on HR issues, fostering a positive employee relations environment, and overseeing HR functions for 2nd and 3rd shifts, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and compliance with laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and promote Ace Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, Teamwork.
  • Provide HR guidance to Retail Support management for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Resolve employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and regular check-ins for new employees.
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt roles as needed.
  • Manage leaves of absence and worker's compensation claims.
  • Ensure benefits administration is compliant and effectively communicated.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR/SPHR desirable
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • HR generalist experience in compensation, employee relations, and performance management
  • Proven presentation and training experience
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance
  • Strong consulting and conflict management skills
