Overview

The HR Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation plays a vital role in aligning HR department goals with the objectives of the Retail Support Center. This position requires the HR Supervisor to act as a consultant to management on various human resource issues while promoting a healthy and safe work environment across shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Ace values, fostering a positive work culture.
  • Consult with management on HR guidance for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Advise management on employee relations issues and resolutions.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and check-ins for new employees.
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt roles as needed.
  • Manage leave of absence and worker's compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and policies.
  • Oversee benefits orientation and related activities for employees.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with employee relations and conflict management.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance.
  • Competence in recruitment and training practices.
  • Proficiency in investigative and interviewing techniques.
