Job Description

Overview

The Human Resources Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation will serve as a strategic partner in the HR department, driving goals and objectives aligned with the Retail Support Center. This role involves consulting with management on HR issues, fostering employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and laws for the 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Ace Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, and Teamwork
  • Consult with Retail Support management to provide HR guidance
  • Advise management on employee relations issues and conduct investigations
  • Create a positive employee relations environment
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and regular check-ins for new hires
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt roles as needed
  • Manage leave of absences and worker's compensation claims
  • Ensure benefits compliance for 2nd and 3rd shift employees

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • HR generalist experience in compensation practices, organizational development, and employee relations
  • Proven presentation and training experience
  • Solid knowledge of investigative and interviewing techniques
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
