Overview

The Human Resources Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation will partner strategically to drive HR goals aligned with the Retail Support Center's objectives. This role serves as a consultant to management on HR issues, focusing on enhancing employee relations, compliance, and workforce management for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide HR guidance to Retail Support management for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Lead employee relations investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and check-ins, and facilitate stay interviews.
  • Assist with recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions as needed.
  • Manage leaves of absence and workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain an effective HR presence.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven HR generalist experience and knowledge of compensation practices
  • Experience in organizational development and employee relations
  • Solid knowledge of investigative and interviewing techniques
  • Strong conflict management and consulting skills
