Job Description

Overview

As the Human Resources Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation, you will play a vital role in aligning the HR department's goals with the broader objectives of the Retail Support Center. You will provide HR guidance and serve as a consultant to management, addressing employee relations issues and fostering a positive working environment, particularly during the 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Ace Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, and Teamwork.
  • Consult with Retail Support management on HR guidance for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Advise management on employee relations issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Create a positive employee relations environment that enhances performance.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and check-ins, stay interviews, and round tables.
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt roles as needed.
  • Manage leave of absence and worker's compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance with current employment laws and regulations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • Experience in compensation practices, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Strong conflict management and consulting skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to address business issues.
