Overview

The Human Resources Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation serves as a strategic partner and consultant to management, driving HR goals and aligning them with the objectives of the Retail Support Center. This role emphasizes enhancing employee relations and maintaining compliance with employment laws, ensuring a positive work environment for employees across second and third shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support the HR department by promoting Ace Values.
  • Consult with management to provide HR guidance, particularly for second and third shifts.
  • Advise on the resolution of employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and regular check-ins for new employees.
  • Assist in recruiting for various roles and managing employee benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with current employment laws and regulations.
  • Promote a safe and productive workplace.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships across the organization.
  • HR generalist experience, particularly in employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong conflict management and consulting skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
