Overview

Boise Centre is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to shape the employee experience by leading full-cycle recruiting efforts and supporting HR operations. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced environment at Idaho's premier convention and event destination.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
  • Partner with departments to develop talent acquisition strategies
  • Create and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires
  • Support HRIS systems and maintain accurate employee data
  • Track and analyze recruitment and engagement metrics
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for HR processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations
  • Coordinate background checks and manage related processes
  • Assist employees with HR policy interpretation and inquiries
  • Support HR projects and administrative functions
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, particularly in recruiting
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Proficient record keeping, spreadsheet, and word processing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of integrity and discretion
  • Time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability and problem-solving abilities
