Job Description

Overview

Aramark is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Operations. This onsite role involves managing staffing, employee relations, and leading HR initiatives while providing support throughout the hiring process and employee engagement efforts.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a proactive staffing plan in partnership with operations
  • Support hiring managers in the hiring process of hourly team members
  • Manage staffing for various sporting and special events
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations regarding employee relations
  • Train and coach management staff in interviewing and performance reviews
  • Conduct employee orientations and onboarding
  • Manage employee engagement initiatives and develop engagement action plans
  • Report and analyze required HR metrics
  • Maintain accurate employee records and track training certifications
  • Assist with HR projects and payroll as needed

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources Management
  • HR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Human Resources planning and organizational development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
  • Employment relations experience including investigations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train and make presentations
  • Effective communication with multiple levels of management
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative to improve processes as needed
  • Availability to work a flexible event-based schedule
