Overview

The Human Resources Manager at The Home Depot Canada in Huntsville is responsible for building and maintaining an engaged workforce in line with the company's values. The role involves overseeing associate relations practices and leading strategic workforce planning to meet current and future staffing needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Role model the company's values and foster high associate engagement
  • Ensure fairness and completion of associate relations practices
  • Complete annual workforce plans including talent and recruitment strategies
  • Identify current and future staffing needs and participate in job fairs
  • Build and edit weekly staffing schedules
  • Lead store talent discussions and succession planning
  • Support leaders in implementing change initiatives
  • Review customer satisfaction scores to identify areas of improvement

Required skills

  • 3-5 years HR Generalist experience
  • Broad knowledge across HR disciplines
  • Ability to work flexible retail schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Retail or hospitality experience (preferred but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
  • Organizational skills and customer service orientation
