About the Organization & the Human Resources Manager Opportunity: CFS is partnering with a well established family owned transportation company in PG County to hire an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all human resources functions across the company. Serve as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations matters, performance issues, policy interpretation, and HR best practices. Oversee full-cycle recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding top talent. Administer and evaluate compensation, benefits, and reward programs to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction. Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, performance evaluations, and accountability initiatives. Develop and deliver employee training, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness programs. Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to provide strategic recommendations and support informed decision-making. Balance daily HR operations with long-range organizational planning to enhance workforce effectiveness and operational success. Lead organizational development initiatives, including succession planning, change management, workforce planning, and leadership development to support business growth and organizational effectiveness. Qualifications for the Human Resources Manager: 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, within trucking, waste management, environmental services, or similar industrial industry exposure required Bachelors degree required Experience using Paylocity a plus, but not required Must be comfortable working as a one person HR department Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check Location: Upper Marlboro, MD (Onsite role 5 days per week)Compensation: $120,000-140,000
