Overview

Ace Hardware is seeking a Human Resources Manager for their Retail Support Center in West Jefferson, OH. This position will lead the HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing talent acquisition, and overseeing employee relations. The HR Manager will collaborate with operations to foster a high-performance culture and will handle various HR programs and policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and administer HR programs and policies related to employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, performance, and staffing.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR team within the RSC.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with operations to train, develop, and mentor RSC exempt staff.
  • Investigate employee relations issues and determine corrective actions.
  • Participate in final termination decisions and conduct employee relations investigations.
  • Create and oversee employee recognition programs and events.
  • Partner with the Regional HR Manager on strategic direction and team goals.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
  • 5 years of HR management experience
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Successful HR generalist experience
