Overview

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Manager for their Retail Support Center in Hilliard, Ohio. This role involves leading HR programs, ensuring employment law compliance, overseeing talent acquisition, and managing employee relations while fostering a positive workplace culture. The manager will collaborate with various teams to support the organization's HR strategy and enhance employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and administer HR programs and policies relevant to employee relations, compensation, benefits, and staffing.
  • Manage daily operations of the HR team within the RSC.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with operations to create and manage employee recognition programs and events.
  • Investigate and address employee relations issues.
  • Develop and mentor RSC exempt staff and provide guidance on performance issues.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field
  • 5 years HR management experience
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with project management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships at all organizational levels
