Overview

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Manager for their Retail Support Center in West Jefferson, Ohio. This role involves leading and managing HR policies and programs, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering strong employee relations. The HR Manager will collaborate with senior management and oversee the HR team to ensure high-quality HR services are delivered across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and administer HR programs and policies relating to employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance, and staffing.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and employee onboarding processes for the RSC.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the HR team.
  • Investigate employee relations issues and determine corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with operations to create and oversee employee recognition programs.
  • Partner with the Regional HR Manager to direct HR department strategy and goals.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field
  • 5 years HR management experience
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented self-starter able to handle workload with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
