Overview

MI Windows and Doors is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support all functional areas of HR, focusing on the team member life cycle within a diverse culture in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The role involves fostering solid employee relations and ensuring consistent application of HR programs and policies, while managing various HR functions including staffing, training, and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent application of HR programs and policies
  • Manage team member life cycle including job descriptions and onboarding
  • Streamline recruitment processes and support Talent Acquisition efforts
  • Conduct training sessions for leaders and employees
  • Counsel on job-specific and developmental training opportunities
  • Track and analyze KPIs related to retention and turnover
  • Investigate employee concerns and mediate conflicts
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and compliance with employment laws
  • Manage leaves of absence and conduct ADA interactive processes
  • Maintain accurate records through HRIS and timekeeping systems

Required skills

  • 3-5 years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, business, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR functions
  • Experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
