Overview

The Human Resources Generalist at Unistress Corp plays a crucial role in supporting HR operations within a unionized manufacturing environment. This position is aimed at early-career professionals eager to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Deliver new hire orientation and onboarding in compliance with company practices.
  • Maintain organized records to support HR operations and compliance.
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee leave processes.
  • Engage regularly with employees on the production floor to foster communication and support.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of HR experience or related administrative experience.

  • Ability to build credibility with employees and management in a fast-paced environment.
  • High discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) is a plus.
