Human Resources Generalist - Columbia, MD Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pmSalary: 650,000 - $85,000 About the Human Resources Generalist Opportunity We are seeking a proactive and employee-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. This role will support a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, onboarding, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who enjoys partnering with managers, solving problems, and helping create a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist: Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, offer preparation, and onboarding. Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit-related questions. Support performance management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives. Conduct workplace investigations and assist with employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and corrective actions. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO regulations. Manage leave administration, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data to support decision-making. Assist with training, employee engagement, and culture-building initiatives. Support compensation programs, salary reviews, and annual performance cycles. Qualifications for the Human Resources Generalist: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus 2+ years of HR experience Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism and confidentiality Systems & Technical Skills: Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, UKG, Dayforce, Workday, BambooHR, or similar Strong Microsoft Office skills Experience creating HR dashboards, metrics, and workforce reports a plus
