This HR Generalist position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS management, and day to day HR operations. In this role, you'll support employees throughout the organization: planning fun events, coordinating meetings, answering HRIS questions, and helping team members navigate everything from time and attendance to benefits enrollment. You'll also play a key part in maintaining compliance, managing workers' compensation claims, and ensuring accurate benefit deductions and rate updates. Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities: Employee Relations & Engagement - Coordinate meetings, plan employee events, support internal communications, and serve as a friendly, reliable resource for day to day employee questions. Benefits Administration - Assist employees with benefit enrollment, manage annual open enrollment, process benefit changes, track rate increases, and ensure accurate deductions. Workers' Compensation Management - Handle claims, documentation, and communication with employees and carriers to ensure timely and compliant case resolution. HRIS & Data Administration - Maintain employee data, perform accurate data entry, and serve as the go to expert for navigating the HRIS system. Policies & Procedures - Help employees understand policies, ensure consistent application, and support HR leadership with documentation and compliance needs. Back up to other HR functions Human Resources Generalist Education & Skills: Bachelor's degree 3+ years in human resources Strong written and verbal communication skills Tech savvy with the ability to learn systems quickly; Paychex experience is a plus Ability to build relationships, stay organized, and handle confidential information with professionalism A positive, solutions focused mindset and a desire to make HR approachable and effective Salary: $65,000-$75,000Location: Portage, MI
