The Human Resource Generalist will perform the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Act as a resource for managers' and employees' day-to-day questions and issues. The focus of this job is on producing high-quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. This position will work with other office personnel, as well as with others at our branch locations across the country.Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:Administrator of recruiting system from start to end of an new hire's onboarding experienceAdministrator of the HRIS system including, but not limited to, maintaining employee files, drive programs, edit self-service portalDevelops, communicates and enforces company policies and procedures, including maintaining the handbook.Collaborates with managers and supervisor during the performance evaluation, disciplinary action, and termination processes.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits; leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.Serve as a primary contact to answer frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, and benefits; refer more complex questions to senior-level HR management.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels of the company and maintain current cultureCommunicate policy/benefit/ESOP information to the workforce; provide interpretation as neededProvide advice and counsel to managers on organizational matters including performance assessment, corrective actions, conflict-dispute resolution, and classification and retention, and organizational structure and staffing; refer more complex questions to senior-level HR management.Establish and maintain recruiting networks i.e. Labor Agencies, University Career Fairs, Apprenticeship Programs, Temp AgenciesImplements and maintains new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.Onboard H2B Visa or H1B workers and work directly with the immigration attorney to file all the correct paperwork needed for the H2B or H1B Visa program. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements by advising management on needed actions.Human Resources Generalist Job Requirements:Three to five years of related Human Resources administration experienceComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Outlook and ExcelExperience with HRIS and benefits databases; proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations' HRIS, benefit, and talent management systems; MacArthur uses PaylocityPHR or SHRM-CP a plus.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretionStrong organization skills and ability to work under pressure; including prioritizingExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacyStrong understanding in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Fluent in Spanish a plusExperience with administering/coordinating H2B or H1B Visa ProgramsAbility to travel, infrequently, to other states via plane or automobileHuman Resources Generalist Benefits Package:Outstanding Family Medical Benefits PackageSubstantial Stock Ownership ProgramCompetitive Compensation PackagesPaid Time Off (PTO) & 8
