Job Description

Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will join a globally recognized design firm in Seattle, playing a vital role in the People & Culture team. This position focuses on benefits administration, leave management, and employee support, contributing significantly to the employee experience and the overall HR function within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily benefits administration and maintain accurate records.
  • Lead the reconciliation of monthly benefit invoices and handle escalated inquiries.
  • Analyze usage data to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage leave programs including FMLA and state-specific leaves.
  • Support workplace accommodations and employee relations.
  • Partner with HR and Payroll teams on onboarding and offboarding.
  • Generate HRIS reports and contribute to policy development and program communication.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of progressive HR experience with benefits and/or leave administration.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA.
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience developing HR policies and managing compliance processes.
