Job Description

Overview

The Human Resources Generalist at Alsum Farms is responsible for administering various functions of the HR Department, encompassing full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. This role is pivotal in supporting all positions at Alsum Companies, ensuring an efficient and employee-focused HR function.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including job postings, interviews, and offer letters.
  • Support seasonal and migrant labor workforce planning.
  • Conduct career fairs and community outreach for recruiting.
  • Serve as a resource for HR policies and employee concerns.
  • Support employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Coordinate and administer onboarding processes and new hire orientations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and manage employee leaves.
  • Coordinate wellness initiatives and Health Risk Assessments.
  • Assist with documentation related to workplace incidents and workers' compensation.
  • Participate in audits for compliance with labor and ethical standards.
  • Support HR operations and improvements as required.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record
