Overview

The Human Resource Supervisor at Ace Hardware Corporation will act as a strategic partner in driving HR objectives aligned with the Retail Support Center's goals. This role involves consulting with management on HR issues, promoting a positive employee relations environment, and managing various HR functions for the 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, support and promote Ace Values
  • Consult with Retail Support management on HR guidance
  • Advise management on employee relations issues
  • Conduct thorough employee relations investigations
  • Create a positive employee relations environment
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and check-ins for 2nd and 3rd shift employees
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt roles
  • Manage LOA's and worker's compensation claims
  • Maintain compliance with current employment laws
  • Provide benefits orientation and management for 2nd and 3rd shift

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR/SPHR desirable
  • 3-5 years progressive HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • HR generalist experience
  • Knowledge of compensation practices and employment laws
  • Experience with investigative and interviewing techniques
  • Outstanding conflict management and consulting skills
  • Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
