Overview

The Human Resource Generalist at Metalcraft of Mayville is responsible for various HR functions at the Fall River, Wisconsin location. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role includes maintaining HRIS systems, recruitment processes, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day HR functions and employee concerns
  • Assist Plant Manager and Supervisors with HR matters
  • Manage payroll processing and reporting using ADP and Kronos
  • Conduct full cycle recruitment, including job postings and candidate interviews
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and employee benefits enrollment
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Conduct investigations and manage employee discipline
  • Work on special projects for compliance and documentation
  • Advocate for company culture and suggest HR improvements

Required skills

  • 4+ years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with payroll, recruiting, and employee investigations
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with payroll software and ERP systems like SAP or Kronos
