Overview

The HTS/Direct Support Professional Floater at Home of Hope is responsible for providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities across multiple homes in Oklahoma. This role includes assisting with daily living skills, vocational training, and community integration while promoting independence and self-determination.

Key responsibilities

  • Support individuals with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities
  • Train and guide in vocational skills and community participation
  • Document progress and maintain records related to individual care
  • Assist clients in achieving their maximum potential and promote independence
  • Collaborate with team members, service providers, and family members
  • Provide transportation to clients for work and health-related appointments
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns to appropriate personnel

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and various locations
  • Completion of required training such as First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration
